Our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised. The lomo saltado was tasty and my hubby said his ceviche mixto was interesting(different) but good. My only complaint is that their menu is hard to read. They need to design a new menu with proper spacing between words.

I visited this place with my co worker first thing they don't accept credit card or any plastic only cash they do have an ATM machine inside for you pull out money but that's not very convenient. The food was made to order I have visited restaurants in the past that offer the same type of food. Pollo inka is one of them the lomo saldado is a bit dry and the meat they use is very thin is guess that's authentic Peruvians food. I will not revisit just wasn't very tasty. Also if you plan on eating their make sure you bring sanitation wipes cuz the place is very run down.

My Peruvian co-worker suggested we come to this Peruvian place bc his wife had been here. Nino's is located on Vermont in Gardena opposite from Gardena Bowl Coffee Shop.
I ordered the saltado de mariscos ($10.95). My co-workers ordered another seafood dish, lomo saltado and two chaufas.
My dish was OK. There was a fair amount of seafood, but it didn't seem that fresh based on the toughness of the shrimp. In addition, the sauce didn't have a discerning taste. Regardless, I ate the whole plate and was full: 3 Stars.
Conversely, my co-workers liked their dishes including my Peruvian colleague. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing.
Regarding the ambiance, its very casual in here and very hot! The dining area is open air but has TVs. Nonetheless, we did receive table service although the place has a counter you can order at. BTW, the restroom is unisex and on the outside of the restaurant: 3 Stars barely.
On the other hand the service was good, but very leisurely. The waitstaff was friendly. However, the food arrived in 3 Stages: Two seafood dishes arrived first, then a lomo saltado, and lastly two chaufas. We had to chase the waitress down for our check: 3 Stars.
I would not return bc the food was average and the ambiance was barely a 3. I'm not used to paying $17 inc tax & tip at a very casual place. I prefer 5 Star El Rocoto around the corner for better food and ambiance. -

The Lomo saltado is my favorite dish. I like coming down here for lunch. The food is really tasty and the customer service is great!

This place is amazing, the food tastes way better then pollo inca and its so much more authentic. You can taste the richness of the food. the restaurant could use some remodeling but the food and the price is more than great!!
